Ivan Enrique Parra Garcia
Welcome to my space, where storytelling, learning, and exploration intertwine. My intellectual work delves into the transformative power of essayism—not just as a literary form, but as a way of reading, writing, and thinking that redefines how we engage with ideas, experiences, and books. Through my research, Flashes of Essayism, I explore how moments of deep insight—what I call "flashes"—emerge in our reading and writing practices, opening new pathways to connect with literature and the world around us. This perspective also informs my work in learning experience design and human-AI collaboration, where I investigate the creative possibilities sparked by a dialogue engagement with AI. My intellectual work aims to inspire curiosity, reflection, and growth.
Beyond research, my passion for storytelling has taken shape in short stories, translations and essays published in literary magazines across Mexico, the USA, the UK, Peru, and Spain. In 2021, my short story collection Texarkana was published by Sudaquia Editores in New York. Currently based in Ann Arbor, I spend my time reading, writing and developing online learning experiences. Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or a shared love of stories, I invite you to explore and connect!
